Stuff for developers

Ecosystem

  • Live video feeds from Devcon. You’ll likely need the agenda to find the talks you want to see.

  • EthDNS: ENS + IPFS everywhere and its DNS over https service

  • Unstoppable Domains built its .crypto domains on ETH

  • Ethereum on ARM. New images for NanoPC-T4, Rockpro64 & Raspberry Pi. Run a full node with Geth/Parity/Trinity. Plus: Status.im, Raiden, IPFS, Swarm and Vipnode. Or an eth2 testnet with Prysmatic.

  • Kobi Gurkan found a bug in the snark implementation of the MIMC hash function in circomlib. Thus, Tornado.cash had to hack itself, but everything is fine. They migrated everything to a new contract and updated the UI. Privacy was never lost.

This newsletter is made possible by ConsenSys.

I own 100% Week In Ethereum. Editorial control has always been me.

If you’re wondering “why didn’t my post make it into Week in Ethereum,” then here’s a hint: don’t email me. Do put it on Reddit.

It’s amazing to me how many people email me when every issue has a link at the bottom saying not to email me to get in the newsletter.

If you're unhappy with editorial decisions or anything that I have written in this issue, feel free to tweet at me.

🎂 3 year anniversary 🎂

I did another annotated version for the folks who bought the NFT. They can read the limited edition. This will very likely be the last annotated edition.

🎂 3 year anniversary 🎂

Just to repeat the advertisement immediately above: you can buy the limited edition NFT for 0.11 Eth which will unlock the annotated edition.

All proceeds will be back into Ethereum somehow, likely donated to a public good, at my discretion.

7 eth2 clients talking to each other. Otherwise, the app layer issue

Eth News and Links

  • Interop week is over, but the results are spectacular: seven Eth2 clients talking to each other. This was the last major hurdle before clients focus on optimizations, auditing, and UX in preparation for launch.

  • Nimbus has a mostly pre-interop client update: exit mechanics, better monitoring, and Nimplay - a nim DSL for Ethereum.
